personal information

Born in Decatur, Illinois.
Education: American Academy of Art in Chicago, where he received his formal training and was introduced to watercolor by Irving Shapiro. Then a Commercial Art career in Chicago before moving to a farm in Indiana to be surrounded by his subject matter and live in a 100-year-old farmhouse. He has a wife, Ann, two daughters, and five grandchildren.
